Extended Deck Over Small Patio

In tight outdoor spaces, ‘watcha gonna do’? Be innovative and creative. That is what our PR Designer did! Collaborating with the homeowners her design for them extended out from an indoor wall to create a deck-space extraordinaire – adding French-doors where once windows hung to open up their indoor living space . . . to an outdoor nook to be envied. Walled-in or doors-opening to a view deck . . . hmmm – easy choice!

Underneath this built-out view-nook, a family & friends privacy space was designed – firepit, dining area, and hang-out space. The side yard became synthetic turf – perfect for Genevieve the family dog and just right for their 6-month old son. He loves to sit turfside with a soccer ball (yep, saw it with my own eyes). The Garden beds flourish with garden lettuce that looks delicious and picture perfect.

Not to overshadow the deck outside the front door with its hanging swings, planters and a step-down to a second deck area with a bench for 2 – for those who crave an escape for privacy.

This SMALL outdoor space has become a backyard of many go-to areas where minimal space meets maximized potential.
